There's more than one way to install Studio. Pick the one that matches how hands-on you want to be.

At a glance

Pinokio: easiest, recommended for most people.
From source: for developers who want direct control.
A one-command launcher provisions everything.

Pinokio (easiest)

Pinokio handles the local setup for you. It installs the app and its environment and can optionally add a demo library with sample voices so you can try the workflow right away. Best for most people.

From source (developers)

Clone the repository and run the launcher. This gives you direct control over files, scripts, and the dev workflow. The launchers provision a virtual environment, the engine environment, and build the frontend. See Launcher Scripts.

Tip: Not sure? Start with Pinokio. You can always switch to a source install later.
